GIANNELLI IMBULA has been backed to go from zero to hero at Stoke after reinventing himself with Toulouse.

Imbula made only 28 appearances for the Potters following his club record £18.3million arrival from Porto in February 2016 before being loaned to the French club this season.

But Toulouse boss Pascal Dupraz told Stoke gaffer Mark Hughes: ”Giannelli has started to buy into what is needed.

“He’s beginning to benefit from his workload. He is feeling confident, has our trust and is putting in the effort.”
