£200K NURSES SHOCK High-price temps fail veterans

MORE than £200,000 is being spent every month on temporary agency nurses to support our traumatise­d troops.

Veterans’ charities have blasted the huge spend as a waste of taxpayers’ cash.

They say soldiers suffering from PTSD will not recover if they are “passed from pillar to post”.

The Ministry of Defence spent £1.3million hiring mental health nurses from agencies between July and December last year, according to figures disclosed under Freedom of Informatio­n laws.
