Dive plane kills family

FIVE family members died as they ate dinner when a plane hit their house in the Philippines yesterday.

Witnesses said the Piper PA-23 light aircraft crashed seconds after takeoff and caused a fire.

Three children, a mother and a grandmother were found dead under rubble.

All five people on the plane, including three passengers, also died.

The aircraft was travelling from Plaridel near Manila to Laoag in the north of the country.
