RABBIT OFF FOR EASTER
PETS At Home will not sell rabbits over the Easter weekend in a bid to make people think twice before buying one as a pet.
Figures show rabbits bought by families at Easter are often abandoned or die within a year.
Instead the 440-branch chain is offering free Peter Rabbit themed workshops between Good Friday and Easter Monday.
They are intended to promote rabbit welfare and help would-be owners make informed decisions about the long-term commitment that comes with owning a pet.
