Late Scots hurt Italy
ITALY coach Conor O’Shea admitted he was “destroyed” for his players after a lastgasp defeat by Scotland.
The Azzurri had led for much of game, but a Greg Laidlaw penalty a minute from time snatched the win for the Scots.
“I am destroyed for them, the players,” O’Shea said, attributing the loss to a lack of experience. “Boy, we played some rugby out there today.” The result could certainly very easily have gone the other way.
Scotland broke the Azzurri’s resistance in the final 10 minutes with a try by full-back Stuart Hogg and the deciding penalty by scrumhalf Laidlaw.
