My despair as I watched Dad die
DANIELLE Kerstein says the guilt of helplessly watching her father die is “destroying” her.
The 60-year-old felt “absolute devastation” when she lost her father Walter, 84, on April 5.
Walter had dementia for two years and Danielle, concerned about the lack of contact in his care home, left a camera device in his room.
Danielle, of Ilford, East London, saw staff without PPE – before it became mandatory.
She added: “I was literally watching my dad die and could do nothing about it. The guilt of that is destroying me.”
