As the ferry drew near, a traditional Fijian tribesman appeared on the rocks to welcome us to the resort.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
In Fiji’s Yasawa islands, the resort is an hour from Port Denarau on Viti Levu, and not far from the island where Tom Hanks’s 2000 movie Cast Away was filmed. Relaxation is the name of the game here, so embrace your inner Wilson – his character in the film – and sit on the beach to soak up the sun. More adventurous types can use paddleboards and snorkels to explore the reef.
