MASON CAN STOP KANE

MASON HOLGATE believes there’s no better time for Everton to be facing Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Since a heavy 4-0 defeat at Chelsea in the last game before lockdown Everton have played three times, winning two and drawing against Liverpool.

Just as impressive is their defensive solidity with just one goal conceded.

And as they head to Spurs tomorrow centre-back Holgate reckons Everton’s back line are in the form to deal with any attacking threat.

He said: “It’s the Premier League – there are no easy games, they’re all difficult. It’s what you look forward to, playing against the best strikers and

Harry Kane is one of them.

“I’m looking forward to the chance to go up against him and show people what I can do.”

Holgate added: “We feel like if ever we are going to come up against strikers like that, now’s our time when we are doing so well defensively.”
