IT AIN’T THE HEND OF DE GEA
I LIKE Dean Henderson, but any chatter about him being ready to become the No.1 at Manchester
United and England is a bit premature.
David de Gea is still miles ahead as an all-round goalkeeper and, although the Spaniard is not as dominant as Alisson or Ederson, he is still top class.
Becoming England’s No.1 is a more likely proposition for Henderson (right) and I’m sure Gareth Southgate will look at him in friendlies sooner rather than later.
But really he needs another year on loan, maybe abroad or with a team in England with real expectations, before those conversations get real.
