Right On Track

I quite enjoy a day out on the train and a recent journey happened on Candlemas Day.

I settled down with “The People’s Friend”, a book of poems and a flask of hot chocolate. I read the beautifully told story “Light In The Darkness”. How thrilled Daisy was to be able to take candles home for the festival of light and hope. I hadn’t known that villages long ago celebrated that most beautiful of festivals with candle-lit processions. The train trip was a joy, thanks to the reading matter.
