The Perfect Cut

Whether using a ride-on or a push mower, you’ll want to ensure that, above all, your grass is cut to the correct height. Raise the cut during dry summer months to 1¼ inch for utility lawns and ¾ inch for luxury lawns – or 1½ inch for mixtures from Johnsons Lawn Seed. When first tackling long grass or taking the first cut of a new lawn, allow a more generous 2-3 inches.
