The Tuesday Girls

My sisters and I have started meeting up on a Tuesday for a walk and a catch-up at Drumpellier Loch, Coatbridge. Helen was inspired enough by our visits to compose this lovely poem.

We walk round the loch My sisters and I, Chirping and chattering Like the birds in the sky. Nature surrounds us, Swans swimming by, Good mornings and smiles From those passing by.

As we sit having coffee

The memories flow,

And we talk of our loved ones, Of days long ago.

We look at our watches, How time has flown!

We reach for our jackets,

It’s time to head home. The Tuesday Girls
