Power Of The Written Word

On February 25 you published a letter on pen friends by Ms O.B. of Orton.

We were childhood friends and stayed in touch until my husband and I emigrated. I was a shocking letter writer, allowing limited time and emotional lows to hinder me, and a number of contacts were sadly lost.

However, Ms O.B., bless her, persisted even though her life on a farm was more pressured than mine.

This year, we were able to be together with all her family.

To those, like me, who don’t always respond when they should, remember that good friends like Ms O.B. are much too precious to lose!
