I enjoyed reading the feature about the craft of glass blowing and the skills involved.

I used to be a woodworking craftsman and was requested to pass on my ladder-making skills to another generation to try to stop this particular craft from dying out.

I had the pleasure of passing on some of these skills to Robin Wood MBE and Steve Tomlin, with a video documenting this.

This is one of my paintings depicting what a ladder stand looked like during the heyday of wooden ladder-making and the way they were erected at the many different showgrounds all over the country. Mr S.J.C., Harpole.
