Fabulous Storyteller

I just had to write to say what an exceptional serial “Northern Lights”, by Betty Mcinnes, was.

A tremendous amount of research must have gone into the writing of it, and she must be congratulated for creating such an exciting serial.

I felt I got to know the family in the story so well and also learned so much about the work that went into the building of the Bell Rock Lighthouse and the dangers the men endured.

Many holidays were enjoyed by my family in Arbroath and we often walked into Auchmithie. I would so often stand and look out at the Bell Rock and now, thanks to Betty Mcinnes, I know so much about the building of it.
