Vital Check-up

-

Don’t skip your dentist appointment even if you think your teeth are in good shape, because according to the Oral Health Foundation, a regular check-up is the best way to screen for early warning signs of possible mouth cancer (such as a non-healing mouth ulcer, red or white patches, and unusual lumps or swellings).

Incidences of mouth cancer are increasing, with more than 7,500 new cases discovered every year in the UK, an increase of more than two-thirds in the last 20 years.

So if you recognise any changes in your mouth, visit your dentist or doctor or see www.mouthcancer.org.
