TV artist will give colour to painters’ works

A RENOWN TV artist is to put a drop of colour into a painting workshop to be held in the Peterborou­gh area.

The popular Geoff Kersey, who regularly appears as SKY TV’S artist is to give a watercolou­r workshop as part of the Deepings Arts Festival.

The festival will take place on May 13 in the new Confer- ence Centre at the Deepings School, Park Road, Deeping St James. The workshop is from 10am to 2.30pm with a break for lunch and places are still available.

A festival spokespers­on said: “We feel budding artists will be able to learn a lot from Mr Kersey and it will be worthwhile popping along to the workshop.

“Mr Kersey lives and works in the Peak District and has a traditiona­l style of painting.

“He is well regarded for an intuitive use of colour and has a firm grasp of perspectiv­e and draftsmans­hip.
