Go quackers at bank holiday duck race

HUNDREDS of rubber ducks will be winding their way through Whittlesey this bank holiday weekend. A fundraising tradition has been revived to support this year’s Whittlesey Diamond Jubilee Party. The duck race will start from outside the Hero of Aliwal pub, in Church Street, at 2pm on Monday with proceeds going towards the big town bash being held on June 4. Ducks cost £1 each. Tickets will be on sale at the Buttercross auction, in Whittlesey’s Market Place, at lunchtime this Friday.
