To­day’s Stil­ton cheese rolling fun day has a spe­cial Olympic theme. The event, which is in its 52nd year, will be­gin with mu­sic, magic and danc­ing from 10.30am. The rac­ing starts in Stil­ton High Street at noon. Who will be crowned the 2012 World Snooker cham­pion? The four semi­fi­nal­ists are Stephen Maguire, Ali Carter, Ron­nie O’sul­li­van and Matthew Stevens. Tonight’s final ses­sion be­gins at 8pm, on BBC2. The Whit­tle­sey duck race re­turns for 2012 to­day. It’s at the Hero of Ali­wal pub from 2pm. Pro­ceeds from to­day’s event will help fund the town’s Di­a­mond Ju­bilee cel­e­bra
