Today’s Stilton cheese rolling fun day has a special Olympic theme. The event, which is in its 52nd year, will begin with music, magic and dancing from 10.30am. The racing starts in Stilton High Street at noon. Who will be crowned the 2012 World Snooker champion? The four semifinalists are Stephen Maguire, Ali Carter, Ronnie O’sullivan and Matthew Stevens. Tonight’s final session begins at 8pm, on BBC2. The Whittlesey duck race returns for 2012 today. It’s at the Hero of Aliwal pub from 2pm. Proceeds from today’s event will help fund the town’s Diamond Jubilee celebra
