Store transformed by glitz and glamour
THE GLITZ and glamour of the catwalk was recreated at a city centre store.
Jane Norman in Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, was transformed as it held a glamour event for customers on Saturday.
A red carpet was laid on the floor, balloons were put up and staff dressed up in outfits to highlight the store’s prom dress range.
Customers were treated to some food and drink while they were able to watch staff dance in the store window to the music provided by a DJ.
Manager Sophie Spriggs said: “We were asked by our area manager to think of an event where we could get more people to come into the store.
“With the prom season coming up we decided to have a glamour event.
“I think the customers liked it.
“We will be definitely looking to do something like this again.”
