Tories need to listen
JOHN Peach’s (pictured) narrow victory in Park Ward was most welcome as the last thing we needed was another Labour councillor.
However, it’s obvious to me that if there had been a UKIP candidate standing, Mr Peach would have lost due to the “leaching” of several hundred votes from fed up Tory voters, as seen in other constituencies around the country.
If the Con- servatives wish to avoid future losses at Council and National level then they must sit up and take notice.
Tory voters want tough action on Immigration, Europe and crime.
Our MP always talks a good talk before elections. Despite all the promises made two years ago, Peterborough is still suffering from mass immigration from Eastern Europe, overcrowded houses, schools and surgeries and a general degeneration in formerly “nice” neighbourhoods. If the Tories don’t pull their socks up and face the truth then they will be in for a very uncomfortable time at the next elections.”
