Regiment band

THE life of a Regimental Sergeant Major from Peterborough has been captured in a series of photos.

The family of RSM E H Needham kindly handed me a collection of the pictures, so I could use them on these pages.

In the main image, the Northamptonshire Regimental Band has been caught relaxing after a military performance.

I wonder if they’ve been allowed an alcoholic drink to unwind?

The second is of RSM Needham’s hockey team.

I believe it was also linked tothe Northamptonshire Regiment.

Finally, the third is a family photo.

It has the surname Stimpson attached to it.
