A MINI-HEATWAVE will see Peterborough basking in sunshine this week.
It will mark the end of a six-week spring washout which saw the city endure the wettest April on record.
Temperatures are expected to hit 21C today, with tomorrow and Thursday reaching highs of 25C, according to the Met Office.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “It is turning quite warm this week and things will really start to heat up from Wednesday onwards.”
The sunshine is expected to continue into the weekend, with temperatures of 20C anticipated.
The heatwave comes after parts of Britain were colder than the Arctic and even parts of the Antarctic last week.
