MPS Twit­ter has been hacked! Haha!” @Jumpedupthe­atre “@Sjack­sonmp tweets have sud­denly gone all po­lite and rea­son­able Can’t imag­ine what’s go­ing on!” read­ing his Tweets, re­cently block­ing the Cas­tor Ales ac­count af­ter they ques­tioned whether changes in the Queen’s Speech help or­di­nary peo­ple.

On May 9, he wrote: “@Cas­torales You’re bor­ing and now blocked too.”

Mr Jack­son has writ­ten 1,798 Tweets and the web­site www.twit­ter­ says he is the eighth most fol­lowed per­son on Twit­ter from Peter­bor­ough.

He said: “I use Twit­ter be­cause peo­ple like to know about what it hap­pen­ing.

“I think it is bet­ter to use Twit­ter more as a diary than an elab­o­rate way of get­ting your po­lit­i­cal mes­sages across.

“Some­times you can get some silly mes­sages from peo­ple, but I think most of them are not even my con­stituents.”
