Tuesday
This morning Megan has her statutory medical appointment, required as part of her placement. When we are finished I pop to the local supermarket to pick up some groceries.
What would usually take someone 20 minutes takes me nearly two hours. Harry has not long been toilet trained and has had an accident.
Megan is fast asleep in the trolley but I have to wake her up to change her nappy. We eat lunch in a café before I take Harry to his afternoon nursery session.
Once home I record the morning’s activities and take a number of calls from social workers arranging the next lot of visits. Megan is happily watching In The Night Garden when her court appointed guardian arrives.
He comes to see how she is progressing. She is really developing her personality now and it is lovely to see. I get an update on Megan’s family situation and to talk about when she may move out of care and back to her family.
