College stars pick up awards
THE Peterborough Regional College Football Development Centre held their annual awards lunch recently. Former Posh star David Farrell, who helped the team out on the coaching front last season, presented the awards. The major prizewinners with comments by Development Centre coach Matt Flisher were: Mitchell Williams - Players’ Player. Mitchell has played as a ‘standin’ centre-back for the entire season and has consistently performed well. He attended a few training sessions with the Peterborough United scholars earlier on in the season. Conor Murphy - Golden Boot. Conor has been in outstanding form this season scoring in almost every game he has played. He netted four hat-tricks in his 27-goal total.
