Col­lege stars pick up awards

THE Peter­bor­ough Re­gional Col­lege Foot­ball De­vel­op­ment Cen­tre held their an­nual awards lunch re­cently. For­mer Posh star David Far­rell, who helped the team out on the coach­ing front last sea­son, pre­sented the awards. The ma­jor prizewinners with com­ments by De­vel­op­ment Cen­tre coach Matt Flisher were: Mitchell Wil­liams - Play­ers’ Player. Mitchell has played as a ‘standin’ cen­tre-back for the en­tire sea­son and has con­sis­tently per­formed well. He at­tended a few train­ing ses­sions with the Peter­bor­ough United schol­ars ear­lier on in the sea­son. Conor Mur­phy - Golden Boot. Conor has been in out­stand­ing form this sea­son scor­ing in al­most ev­ery game he has played. He net­ted four hat-tricks in his 27-goal to­tal.
