THE weather has fi­nally de­cided to turn, and af­ter six weeks of rain we now see clear sunny skies above Peter­bor­ough.

In one of the final Hob­son’s Choice daily pages (don’t worry, nostal­gia pieces will still be in­cluded in the weekly edi­tion of The Peter­bor­ough Tele­graph) I have se­lected two from a pop­u­lar col­lec­tion – the 1912 floods.

When the rain con­tin­ued to pour though April, I’m sure some of us had con­cerns of se­ri­ous flood­ing in their neigh­bour­hood.

To­day’s pic­tures show peo­ple gath­ered on­town Bridge and cir­cled around School Place.

The wa­ters look to have reached a per­ilously high level.
