The Peterborough Evening Telegraph
Photos flood in
THE weather has finally decided to turn, and after six weeks of rain we now see clear sunny skies above Peterborough.
In one of the final Hobson’s Choice daily pages (don’t worry, nostalgia pieces will still be included in the weekly edition of The Peterborough Telegraph) I have selected two from a popular collection – the 1912 floods.
When the rain continued to pour though April, I’m sure some of us had concerns of serious flooding in their neighbourhood.
Today’s pictures show people gathered ontown Bridge and circled around School Place.
The waters look to have reached a perilously high level.
