Summer fun in the garden at activity days in township
GREEN-FINGERED residents are being invited to have fun with flowers at two garden-themed fun days taking place in the township.
The first will take place at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre on Wednesday, June 6 between 11am and 3pm.
During the Flower Pot Fun Day children will get the chance to decorate their own plant pot in aid of Sue Ryder Care.
There will also be street theatre from the Greenfinger Folk. The theatre will be focused on Gilbert and Norbert, two garden fairies living in topiary bushes.
Everyone is invited to take part in the free day.

The event will include a summer barbecue, garden games, free children’s entertainers, garden demonstrations, a strawberry fayre, live music and competitions.
Visitors will also be able to sample local produce in the foodhall and on the Sunday a Dad’s Garden Sporting Championship will be held.
The event is running on both days between 11am and 4pm, with a break in the musical entertainment between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
