Ap­peal to trace car af­ter hit and run

Po­lice have re­leased de­tails of a car they want to trace in con­nec­tion with a hit and run col­li­sion in Wis­bech last week.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened at about5.45pmonWed­nes­day ( Jan­uary 2) in North End.

A 31- year- old man was struck by a ve­hi­cle, which then left the scene with­out stop­ping in the di­rec­tion of Free­dom Bridge.

The ve­hi­cle was a dark blue me­tal­lic Vaux­hall As­tra, mark 4, 1998- 2004.

It would have its driver’s doormir­ror­casin­gand­glass miss­ing.

The man suf­fered se­ri­ous but not life threat­en­ing in­juries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospi­tal. He has since been dis­charged.

Po­lice are also keen to trace any­onewhowasinthe area at the time and might have i nfor­ma­tion about what hap­pened.
