Appeal to trace car after hit and run

Police have released details of a car they want to trace in connection with a hit and run collision in Wisbech last week.

The incident happened at about5.45pmonWedn­esday ( January 2) in North End.

A 31- year- old man was struck by a vehicle, which then left the scene without stopping in the direction of Freedom Bridge.

The vehicle was a dark blue metallic Vauxhall Astra, mark 4, 1998- 2004.

It would have its driver’s doormirror­casingandg­lass missing.

The man suffered serious but not life threatenin­g injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He has since been discharged.

Police are also keen to trace anyonewhow­asinthe area at the time and might have i nformation about what happened.
