I can’t support ‘ vanity’ project?

I write to give my total support to the farmers of Newborough, along side so many of their supporters. Media reports have highlighted the shocking situation, in which the farmers of Newborough are being booted off the land they have farmed all of their lives. This is prime, high value agicultural land around Newborough, which has the highest productivity in the whole of the UK. Peterborough City Council plans to do severe damage to the countryside, and wreck farmers lives, totally destroying their livelehoods with its plans for Europe’s largest renewable energy plant - a vanity project in my view.

Peterborough is a city of poverty and unemployment. Staggering under the weight of an influx of 17,000 immigrants over the past 10 years. Surely it does not have the financial capacity tfor a madcap scheme to build Europes largest renewable energy plant ?
