Alien star in Peterborough

Astar of the silver screen arrived in Peterborough for a flying visit last week. John Hurt, best knownfor his role in one of the most iconic scenes in science fiction whenhis character Kane died in 1979 blockbuster Alien, spent time in the city on Friday, January 4 while his wife, Anne Meyers picked up a passport from the Passport Office. MrHurt, whowasaccompanied by his dog, Pilchard, as he took in the sights and sounds of Cathedral Square and Long Causeway, has become a firmfavourite on the small screen in recent times with his role as the dragon in BBCseries Merlin.
