Tigers ace Jason has his head turned

-

Striker Jason Turner has left United Counties League Premier Division leaders Holbeach after just three weeks - and it hasn’t gone down well. The experienced forward was snapped up from King’s Lynn in mid- December and has already moved on to Kettering Town. But Tigers boss John Chand has blasted the Poppies for not putting in the correct approach. Chand said: “He’s been offered a non- contract deal. They offered him that without putting the seven day approach in. “It’s a great chance for him, but I will report Kettering to the FA if they play him on Saturday. They need to do things properly.” Holbeach’s title rivals Spalding are keen to add a left- sided player to their squad but boss Pat Rayment has abandoned plans to bolster his defence. Rayment admitted he had lined up a potential new centre- half but is nowhappy with the players at his disposal. Rayment said: “After bringing Chris Gray in from Quorn and having the evergreen Danny Hussey about the place, I feel I’ve got plenty of options defensively. The one area I would like to strengthen is the left side and we’ll look to do that as soon as wecan.”
