New mu­sic ses­sions for all gen­res

An ex­cit­ing new monthly mu­sic night is be­ing launched in Peter­bor­ough.

The Green Room Live Ses­sions will fea­ture sev­eral acts from a par­tic­u­lar mu­si­cal genre at Ra­dius Bar, above the Sol­stice in North­min­ster Road.

Billed as ‘ The New Venue for Reg­u­lar New Mu­sic’, the launch night is on Jan­uary 26.

The open­ing night at the 350- ca­pac­ity venue is themed on heavy metal.

The four acts con­firmed for the launch night are The More I see, fea­tur­ing Gizz Butt who played with the Prodigy, I want a Tree house, Smoke­screen, and String fin­ger.

The idea to pro­mote ev­ery­thing from pop to in­die and from punk to rock is the brain­child of co- pro­mot­ers James McCullen and Miles Bun­ton, and is spon­sored by GP Print, the Gui­tar Lounge, Rocket Park Re­hearsal Stu­dios, andthe Sol­stice.

min costs all pro­ceeds will be split be­tween the band, which are all get­ting hos­pi­tal­ity and rid­ers.

“We are not do­ing it to make money.“We are do­ing this for the right rea­sons, and that’s for peo­ple to have a bloody good night. We want to help th­ese bands pro­mote them­selves.

“Club Rev­o­lu­tion has gone now, and the only other venue do­ing any­thing like this is the Met Lounge, but they are do­ing some­thing dif­fer­ent to what we want to achieve.”

Doors open at 8pm for the first night
