New music sessions for all genres

An exciting new monthly music night is being launched in Peterborou­gh.

The Green Room Live Sessions will feature several acts from a particular musical genre at Radius Bar, above the Solstice in Northminst­er Road.

Billed as ‘ The New Venue for Regular New Music’, the launch night is on January 26.

The opening night at the 350- capacity venue is themed on heavy metal.

The four acts confirmed for the launch night are The More I see, featuring Gizz Butt who played with the Prodigy, I want a Tree house, Smokescree­n, and String finger.

The idea to promote everything from pop to indie and from punk to rock is the brainchild of co- promoters James McCullen and Miles Bunton, and is sponsored by GP Print, the Guitar Lounge, Rocket Park Rehearsal Studios, andthe Solstice.

min costs all proceeds will be split between the band, which are all getting hospitalit­y and riders.

“We are not doing it to make money.“We are doing this for the right reasons, and that’s for people to have a bloody good night. We want to help these bands promote themselves.

“Club Revolution has gone now, and the only other venue doing anything like this is the Met Lounge, but they are doing something different to what we want to achieve.”

Doors open at 8pm for the first night
