David Haig was born in September, 1955, in Hampshire. After school he spent a year on kibbutz in Israel, trained to lay drains in Holland, then signed up to study drama at LAMDA. He and his wife Jane have five children aged between 13 and 27. He writes as much as he acts and his play about Rudyard Kipling, MyBoy Jack, was made into a television drama in which Haig starred alongside Daniel Radcliffe. Yes, Prime Minister begins its run on Gold on Tuesday, January 15
