Bates gets biggest bag

Sensas Mark Onerod John Bates won the Tydd Gote AC Wednesday match on North Level Drain at Clough with a net of small roach on the pole weighing in 7lb 15oz. Joe Roberts was second ( 6lb 10oz) and John Taylor ( 5lb 11oz) third.

Sunday’s match saw even better weights recorded. Top of the list with 330 small roach and skimmers taken on the whip with pinkie was John Young with 11lb 1oz. Runner- up was Colin Gibbons with 7lb 15oz followed by Dave Parlett with 7lb 9oz.

There’s a busy week in store for the Tydd Gote club. Theywill be running their regular Wednesday and Sunday matches on the North Level Drain( draw for bothat Clough at 9am with fishing from10am- 3pm). Also on Sunday they will be running one of their regular Angling Trust Pike Qualifiers and you need to beat Clough Treatment Works at 8.15am to fish from 9am- 3pm.
