Taylor top at Benwick

Whittlesey AA decided on a change of venue last weekend. Despite Whittlesey Dyke fishing well they moved on to Benwick Waters and it proved to be a popular and productive move.

As always the drain had little flow but thankfully a good tinge of colour, more than enough to encourage fish to feed.

John Taylor took 363 small roach and rudd on the pole and whip with pinkie over ground bait for a winning weight of 8lb 7oz.

Runner- up was Roger Biddle with 7lb 5oz and third Frank Bevilacqua ( 7lb 2oz).
