Micky Gynn scored twice against Here­ford and was also on tar­get against Black­pool. RUGBY: Baker Perkins ham­mered Oakham 45- 6 with tries scored by Richard Mary­niak( 2), Phil El­more ( 2), Phil Ed­wards, Norman Bell, Tony Shaw, Tony Edge and Phil McQuillen. HOCKEY: Sara­cens opened the New Year in style, beat­ing War­boys5- 0 with Michelle Hall and Made­line Owen both net­ting twice. Sue Drake scored the fifth goal. FOOT­BALL: Cor­ri­das re­mained on course to re­tain their Sun­day Com­bi­na­tion Di­vi­sion Oneti­tle by beat­ing Free­mans 6- 3. Neil Bird slammed a hat- trick. BIL­LIARDS: Peter­bor­ough’s Mark Wild­man beat Fred Davis 1500- 1032 in the UK Cham­pi­onship fi­nal. RUGBY: Bor­ough made it 10 wins on the trot when win­ning 13- 0 at Old Northamp­to­ni­ans. John Sis­mey and Justin Beau­mont scored tries with Beau­mont adding a con­ver­sion and penalty to pass the 100- point mark for the sea­son. ICE HOCKEY: Peter­bor­ough Pi­rates won 18- 5 at Streatham Bru­ins with John Lawless scor­ing seven of the goals, Glen Skid more five and Rob Carnegie three.
