Power cut caused by lorry crashing into pylon
Eighteen homes were left without power after a lorry hit an electricity pylon. The crash happened at 7.45am on Saturday on Werrington Bridge Road near Newborough. Aspokeswoman for Western Power Distribution, whowere called to the scene, said: “Anarticulated lorry carrying a crane had struck a pole carrying low voltage overhead lines. “The pole snapped, blowing a fuse, leading to six customers losing power. Wethenhadto disconnect 12 further customers for health and safety reasons. “Everyone was back on power at 3pm. Weapologise for any inconvenience.”
