Borough are pipped in final
Borough Under 17s were narrowly beaten in the final of the Milton Keynes Tens Tournament.
They lost 10-5 to Kettering in the final of a competition that attracted teams from Bedford, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Olney, Ampthill, Leighton Buzzard and Northampton Casuals.
Borough topped their group and in the semi-finals of the knockout stages they beat Leighton Buzzard 22-5.
Borough qui c kl y found themselves 10-0 down against Kettering before staging a stirring fightback with some fine attacking rugby.
They were unlucky to be denied a try when James McGeown was deemed to be held up over the line at the end of the first half.
They took control of the second half and were rightly rewarded with a Will Beal try.
Kettering defended hard and were rather fortunate to hang on to their slender lead as Borough had another try - scored by Sean Leedell - disallowed for a forward pass.

Winch came on after just 10 minutes when the starting scrum-half, Fraser Beckett, came off injured, and Williams was brought on at halftime.
