Cobblers clashes are the ones to savour
The first Posh v Cobblers derby for seven years will take place on Tuesday, October 18 at the Abax Stadium. NotsincetheLeagueOnecampaign of 2008-09 have these great rivals met each other in a competitive fixture.
Posh won that last meeting in March, 2009 1-0 thanks to a Charlie Lee header after Gaby Zakuani had been dismissed early in the game for a so-called professional foul.
Posh wentuptothe Championship at the end of that season and Cobblers were relegated to League Two. The team from 40 miles West of Peterborough have lived in Posh’s shadow ever since.
The eagerly-awaited derbiestakeplaceinquicksuccession as Posh travel to Sixfield to play the reigning League Two champions on Saturday, November 19.
Posh have won 23 of their 50 Football League matches with Northampton and lost just 14. CobblerslastbeatPosh 1-0 in a League Two match at London Road in 2006.

City are under new management this season as Stuart McCall has replaced Phil Parkinson, who has taken charge at Bolton.
Posh finish the season at Bolton on Sunday, April 30 (noon kick off ). League One finishes a week earlier than the Championship and League Two next season.
Gillingham will visit the ABAX Stadium on Boxing Day, while Fleetwood are the visitors on Easter Saturday (April 15). Posh travel to AFC WimbledononEasterMonday (April 17).

Title favourites Sheffield United come to Posh on Saturday, February 11.
