Two parties for 100-year-old

A great grandma celebrated her 100th birthday with two parties in Peterborough. Phyllis Burton marked her milestone birthday with a party involving her family in the morning, and one for friends in the afternoon. Phyllis even had a special visitor arrive from Australia to mark the occasion at Stevenson Court in Peterborough ear- lier this month. She also received the traditional 100th Birthday card from The Queen, Daughter Ann Barnard said: “Lots of people came to the parties - we even had one niece come from Australia.” Phyllis has two children - Ann and John Burton (pictured) - four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
