Devastation after collapse

-

Mum Tracey told of her heartbreak after hearing Lucy had collapsed. She said: “Last year, on February 25 our daughter Lucy went for a jog with one of her best friends. She left the house and about half hour later her best friend rung us to get to where they were on the edge of the village, her friend was very distressed and said Lucy had collapsed. She had raised the alarm and done CPR with another person at the scene till the emergency services had arrived, we (my husband and I) rushed to where they were to see the emergency medics defibbing Lucy. “They managed to restart her heart and were going to take her to Peterborough City Hospital by land ambulance as she had so many medics helping to stabilise her and they wouldn’t all fit into the air ambulance who had also attended. “Sadly after five days in critical care our beautiful Lucy lost her fight for life, and she died on the 2nd March 2015 “We, her family and friends, who had kept a bedside vigil for the five days were devastated.”
