Fox hunting court case adjourned

Twomenaccusedofhunting offenceswillappearincourt next monthaftertheirhearing was adjourned. The men, f rom the Fitzwilliam Hunt, were due t o appear at Peterborough Magistrates Court on Wednesday in connection with the allegations, which are said to have happened on New Year’s Day this year. However, the case was adjourned to be heard at the court on August 31. George Adams (64) will face a charge of hunting a wild mammal with dogs, while John Mease ( 44) faces a charge of hunting a wild mammal with dogs and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. The causing suffering count dates back to November 2013, and involves a fox.
The men did not attend the hearing on Wednesday.
