TAYLOR IS A WANTED MAN
Jon Taylor has emerged as one of Peterborough United’s most wanted men.
The24year-old wingerhas been the subject of several inquiries fromclubskeentofind out whether or not he is firmly in newPoshmanagerGrant McCann’s plans.
McCann is a big fan of the midfield diamond, a system thatdoesn’tfavourTaylorover other members of the squad.
The club have rebuffed all interest so far even though Taylor was a substitute in all four Posh matches McCann managed last season.
He came on in all of them andscoredahat-trick inthefinalgameoflastseasonagainst Blackpool under McCann.
Posh director of football Barry Fry said: “I have had clubs on the phone, interestedinJon, butthat’s as far as it’s gone so far.”
Posh sold midfielder Harry Beautyman to local rivals Northampton last week, but are still keen to shed more players, although Brad Inman’s broken leg might mean Taylor is retained.
TeenagemidfielderLeoDa Silva Lopes is another Posh player attracting plenty of interest from other clubs.
PremierLeaguesideSpurs are believed to be the club most keen on a 17-year-old favourite of McCann and the Posh fans.
