Exhibition in magnificent venue
Photographers from the Photographic Imaging Co-Operative (PICO) will present their Exhibition of works at PICO PHOTOFEST held at Thorpe Hall next month.
Visitors will be able to see a selection of images from some award winning photographers on display in the Halls of this fabulous building.
In addition, visitors will be able to roam the magnificent grounds where there will be a number of exciting photo-opportunities taking place.
PICO chairman, Matt Popely said: “This event is a definite first for this area, lots of photographic clubs present an annual exhibition of their works, but no-one in this area has gone to such lengths to present our visitors with additional photo-opportunities”
In the grounds of this Grade II listed garden, walled courtyard and stone architrave gateway visitors will have the opportunity to photograph four models, including Naomi Train – runner-up in Miss Peterborough and Nikita Azzopardi - Miss Rutland.
Alongside the exhibition, PICO will be hosting additional photographic opportunities.
A team from Tu Danse studios, in Peterborough, whose ballerinas and latin dance couples will present an exciting and energetic opportunity to photograph against the backdrop of this fantastic building. Tu Danse will also be presenting their own cheque for £1200, raised at a recent charity event in aid of the Sue Ryder appeal.
In the formal gardens, will be a 1940s re-enactment as the ‘Lindy Hoppers picnic’ takes place. Period dress in full flow as these performers pose for any photographers wishing to add this genre to their portfolio.
Know your camera - Q and A session - Do you know your aperture from your Shutter speed? What’s ISO ? What do all these settings mean? We will have someone on hand to give friendly advice should you need it.
Creative Photography Mini-Workshop – Come and see how these composite images can be made during this presentation by one of PICO’s award winning members.
Product demonstrations, Trade Suppliers including Permajet, who will be showing samples of their latest photographic papers, with a special deal or two thrown in.
Second User, bring and buy, Craft and Prop shop, Tombola and much, much more.
Refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the day.
