The Elm Pool was just the job for Bob

Once again the Elm Lake on the De­coy com­plex was bang in form for the lat­est Con­ser­va­tive Club match.

Lead­ing the way was Bob Walker with 160lb 4oz off peg 16. He caught up in wa­ter on caster.

De­spite l osing sev­eral good fish, John Par­nell still man­aged a re­spectable 150lb off peg 18 to fin­ish sec­ond. He caught up in wa­ter on pel­let.

Terry Tribe came in third with 149lb 9oz off peg eight.

JVAC

JVAC found them­selves on the Dam­son Lake on Sun­day.

Lead­ing the way with 59lb 7oz was Lee Ken­dal, who caught a few bet­ter sam­ples on meat and sweet­corn from peg four.

Sec­ond with 53lb 3oz was Jim Wil­mot fish­ing the pole with caster fol­lowed by Dave Cor­co­ran on 50lb 1oz.

OVER 55s

The Over 55s De­coy Open match fished on the Wil­lows last Fri­day saw Stan Dow out in front from peg five tak­ing fish on a short pole line with sweet­corn for 73lb 15oz.

Paul Thomp­son was sec­ond with 63lb 9oz, then it was Danny Carl­ton with 61lb 1oz.

SATUR­DAY & SUN­DAY OPENS

A small, but very se­lect field in the De­coy Lakes Satur­day Open match on the pro­lific Beastie Lake saw March rod Barry Ma­son lead­ing the way with 251lb 1oz.

Just miss­ing out on the top spot was Jimmy Brooks with 248lb 15oz, then came Tom Ed­wards with 227lb 14oz.

The Sun­day Open saw a switch to the Yew Pool, where af­ter fall­ing foul of the De­coy net rules the pre­vi­ous day, Si­mon God­frey made a mends in this one top­ping the field with 193lb 9oz. The Whit­tle­sey rod caught on caster shal­low.

Alan Ma­jor came in sec­ond on 184lb 5oz, then came Mick Wiles with 178lb 6oz.

Tydd Gote AC, North Level Drain, Sun­day: 1 Andy Green­wood 11lb 1 ½ oz; 2 Chris Lynn 9lb 15oz; 3 Rob Wright 8lb 7oz.
