Perry sparkles to win the Webb’s match at Pode Hole

Webb’s AC fished the pretty lit­tle Lake Ross fish­ery at Pode Hole on Sun­day and with some very good weights taken right around the lake, no-one was sure who had won un­til the re­sults were read out.

In top spot with 135 lb 15 oz was Andy Perry, who caught well all day fish­ing a small Method feeder with pel­let.

Com­ing in a very close sec­ond was Ted Rowe with a net of carp taken on the pole up in the wa­ter on pel­let for 135lb 11 oz, then it was Mar­cus Bai­ley with 110lb 4oz.


The lat­est Peter­bor­ough & District AA mem­bers match was held on the Ro­man Bank on the Overton Lake at Ferry Mead­ows on Sun­day.

This was not the best day for bream fish­ing with clear skies and lit­tle wind. How­ever, most an­glers did man­age to put fish to the scales.

At the end of the day Gra­ham Page took the hon­ours with 23lb 10oz on peg 18.

Sec­ond was Chris Toon on peg 14 with 14lb 5oz, fol­lowed by Paul Dotchin with 12lb on peg 20.


Deep­ing St James mem­bers fished the sec­ond round of the SHCS at Ged­ney on the Match Lake at North View Fish­ery and the match also dou­bled up with the Com­mit­tee Cup, which is fished for by the club’ s com­mit­tee mem­bers only.

The win­ner was Antony John­son on peg three. He fished the whole day at 11 me­tres up in the wa­ter to makeup a win­ning weight of 138 lb 11 oz.

Sec­ond was Chris Wheat­ley with 117lb 15oz from peg 12 abd third was Kevin C romp ton on peg 14 with 109lb 9oz.

The Com­mit­tee Cup win­ner was Ray Tor­ring­ton with 73lb 2oz.


Kings­land’s small carp lake was the venue for the lat­est Whit­tle­sey AA club match which saw Andy Lawrence put a fine 216lb 8oz to the scales.

He caught re­ally well at the start short on meat over mi­cro pel­lets and con­tined to catch short later with a change to paste on the hook.

Dave White fin­ished sec­ond with a 135lb catch on the pole with meat. Andy Bull was third with 108lb.


The Tues­day Club’s lat­est match on the pop­u­lar lake at Had­don Lodge was won by Ge­off Tut­tle­bee with 24lb 4oz - a net of fish made up al­most equally of sil­ver fish and carp.

Sec­ond was Frank Bevilac­qua with 15lb, third was Ron Need­ham with 14lb and fourth Alan Jo­pling with 13lb.

On Sun­day weights were just as good. This time Bevilac­qua went one bet­ter, top­ping the field with 33lb 7oz, a net of carp taken close in with pel­let.

Run­ner-up was Lu­cio Melillo, who caught on pel­let fished shal­low for 21lb 2oz.

Martin Har­wood fin­ished third on 15lb 8oz.


Cock Inn fished Lou’s Lake at De­coy with Chris Short­land lead­ing the way from peg six with 111lb. All his fish were taken on the Method feeder with pel­lets.

Run­ner-up was Bob Mills with 95lb 11oz from peg 11 and third Burt Cur­rie on peg 10 with 88lb 11oz.

Andy Perry won the Webb’s AC match.

Chris Short­land won the Cock Inn AC match.

Antony John­son won the Deep­ing St James match.
