An exciting season ahead!

Two games, two wins and you’d think everything in the garden was rosy. But we must realise that games are played in two halves and for 90+ minutes. After saying that we seem to be getting more of an idea which players are going to do the business. I am still not a great believer in the diamond formation, but if that is what Grant McCann wants and gets it right good luck to him. Exciting season ahead!

From the last two games it looks like we’re in for a ‘we’ll score more than you’ season, despite the defensive additions. Not liking how shaky we are at the back, but I hope that’s just down to a new defence getting used to playing together competitively.

Great use of substitutions by Grant McCann so far.

Grant McCann’s interview after the Rochdale game was a break from the usual away game performance propaganda, in that he was honest. It was a steady performance, but one that needs improvement.

You can’t ask for more than an away win and three goals on the first day of the season. Sounds as though there were a lot of positives to take from the performance and the basis is there for an exciting team to evolve.

Well done Posh and well done Grant McCann. Really looking forward to Saturday’s game and, to be honest, really hoping to be persuaded into becoming a regular at London Road and beyond this season. I have never been tempted by the easy option of picking any Premier League club that takes my fancy. It’s my home town or nobody for me.

The defence has been beefed up, we have a good midfield and we have the bustling Taylor up front. We should do well this season.
