Trav­ellers moved in around city

Trav­ellers who set up camp at the Lynch Wood Busi­ness Park were moved on af­ter re­ports of re­peated anti-so­cial be­hav­iour. The Pre­ven­tion and En­force­ment Ser­vice, con­sist­ing of po­lice of­fi­cers and city coun­cil staff, forced the trav­ellers to leave the Or­ton Wis­tow site with a sec­tion 61 no­tice. Re­ports on so­cial me­dia sug- gested there had also been prob­lems at the Nor­wich & Peter­bor­ough Build­ing So­ci­ety premises in Lynch Wood. Po­lice were called last week fol­low­ing re­ports of stones be­ing thrown, and peo­ple be­ing spat on. Car­a­vans parked at Wer­ring­ton beauty spot Cuckoo’s Hol­low had also moved on by the week­end.
