Spalding keep their title hopes alive
Spalding beat Billingborough by 186 runs to keep their Premier Division title hopes alive. They made 310-3 due largely to Hafiz Majeed (107), Josh Newton (65), Warren Nel (54no) and Josh Smith (54no). Newborough seconds were sick of the sight of Ryan Paffett at the weekend. The 17 year-old, playing for Huntingdon seconds on Saturday, scored his maiden century (153no) in a Hunts League win over Newborough. And then 24 hours later he again took a liking to the Newborough second team bowling in a Rutland League game. This time he made an unbeaten 67 out of 232-7 to secure a three-wicket win.
